A project i made on my spare time to improve my sculpting and texturing skills. Based on the original design from the Starcraft 2 game, this is a recreation of a zergling bust. The wooden trophy support was added as a reference to the Joey Ray bar from the Starcraft 2 game (the bust is actually a Hydralisk skull in the original).
The 3D sculpt and base color texture were made on Zbrush. I then made a retopology using topogun before unwrapping the UVs on 3DSmax. I then went into xNormal to bake the Vcolors and normal maps. Finally the detailed textures were made in Substance Painter.
I made the renders in Substance and i also tried a few ones in Zbrush with a more 2D Aspect.
That was a very interesting and fun project to do.
